Goodman’s novel, Hold Love Strong was a Barnes &Noble Discover Great New Writers Book, a USA Today “New Voices Pick”, and nominated for an Alex Award by the American Library Association.
His writing has been published by some (Pen America, the Green Mountains Review, The Multicultural Review, the Jewish Week, the Beacon Street Review, Canteen Magazine, Tikkun Magazine, El Museo de Historicidad…) And his writing has been rejected by many, many others.
In 2016, he was the recipient of a grant from the Cultural Affairs Department of the United States Embassy in Chile to share best teaching and writing practices with schools in agricultural communities throughout Chile.
He has worked alongside, collaborated on, and created empowerment and educational programs for formerly incarcerated men, women, and youth on the spectrum of the criminal justice system. He has also taught at Hunter College, Colegio Nido de Aguilas, The University of San Diego, High Tech High, and Avenues: The World School.
